I graduated with honors from the 3,000 hour massage therapy program at Okanagan Valley College of Massage Therapy in 2013. In my practice I focus on person-centered care, active rehabilitation, and patient education. I enjoy working with all patients, of all ages, and I understand that everyone’s experience of pain is unique.
Treatments start with a conversation and assessment to help me understand the ‘why’ behind your concerns. We then develop a treatment plan based on these findings as well as any unique needs, preferences, or goals you have.
My treatments are interactive and include patient feedback throughout the session. This allows me to adapt techniques based on what feels most effective for you. My treatment style incorporates a wide variety of manual therapy techniques that help address pain and functional limitations. Some of these techniques include general swedish massage, myofascial release, dermoneuromodulation, joint mobilizations, ligament articular strain, nerve flossing, PNF stretching, and kinesiotaping.
I believe that active rehab and patient education is essential to optimal health, so you can expect to go home with an individualized exercise program to help with lasting pain relief.
Having grown up on a guest ranch in the Interior of B.C., I have always led an active outdoor lifestyle. When I am not in the clinic, I enjoy spending my time on the local trails with my husband and dog. My favorite activities are hiking, mountain biking, running, horseback riding, paddle boarding, and skiing.
Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions. I hope to have the opportunity to work with you!
